The Guild is a cafe, bookstore, vinyl-forward bar, and event space located above Subourbon in downtown Wheaton. It is designed as a modern third place: somewhere to slow down, read, listen, gather, and think clearly.
We are located at 121 W Front Street in downtown Wheaton, Illinois, above Subourbon. The main entrance is on Front Street; accessible entry is at the rear of the building via Wesley.
Contact UsHours vary by concept and programming. For the most current schedule, check concept pages like Cafe and Bookstore, and review current announcements.
The cafe and bookstore are generally walk-in. Certain bar nights and special events may require tickets or reservations. Private events are booked in advance.
Private EventsChildren are welcome in the cafe and bookstore. Bar programming may be 21+ depending on the event.
Yes. Accessible entry is at the rear of the building via Wesley — not the main entrance on Front Street. Please contact us in advance if you have specific accessibility needs.
Contact UsOutside food and beverages are not permitted.
Because The Guild serves food, Illinois and DuPage County health codes do not allow pets inside. The only exception is a trained service animal accompanying a person with a disability. Emotional support, comfort, and therapy animals are not service animals under these rules and are not permitted.
Yes. We provide Wi-Fi for guests and ask everyone to remain mindful of seating availability during busy hours.
